Chin Yin is the Chief People Officer at Grab, and a member of Grab’s Board of Directors.
She leads our global People (people operations), Places (corporate real estate), Security (corporate security) and Systems (employee technology solutions) teams, where she is responsible for overseeing and designing physical, human and digital experiences to empower all Grabbers to thrive.
Since joining Grab in 2015, Chin Yin has built up multiple teams from scratch and drove the hypergrowth of the company through expanding teams, launching new businesses and constantly evolving the culture. She and the People team at Grab has won multiple awards such as Best Places to Work For 2020, Top 50 HR Leaders in Asia 2024 amongst others. She has also been recognized by IHRP as a HR Master Professional since 2018.
Chin Yin comes with more than 25 years of experience that spans across Sales & Marketing and Human Resources in both FMCG (Yum Brands) and Hi-Tech industries (Hyperion, F5 Networks, Orange, DXC). She has led numerous transformative programmes across organisational design and development, rewards, talent acquisition, talent management and industrial relations in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
In addition to her role at Grab, Chin Yin serves as a Board Member at Workforce Singapore and the Human Capital Leadership Institute as well as an advisor to venture capital funds as well as tech companies. She also gives back to the community where she can, serving as a Human Resource Committee Member at Assisi Hospice and mentor at the Young Women’s Leadership Connection.
