German has a distinguished track record as an intrapreneur at the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he developed flagship products that set industry standards. Notably, he created the Global Trade Liquidity Program (GTLP), the only G20-endorsed facility addressing the Global Financial Crisis in 2008, which established a platform approach for managing subsequent economic disruptions. He also spearheaded the world’s first blended finance fund for agriculture, GAFSP.
