Ms. Gu heads up ISDA’s legal team in the Asia Pacific region. She coordinates efforts on legislative and regulatory advocacies and standardizes derivatives trading documentation across APAC jurisdictions. Ms Gu was awarded the IFLR Regulatory Reform Award in 2023 for her significant contributions to Libor transition and law reforms in APAC. Prior to joining ISDA, Ms. Gu was a Director in the Legal and Compliance Department of Credit Suisse (Hong Kong) Limited where she specialized in OTC derivative products and structured finance. Before joining Credit Suisse, she was an associate at Allen & Overy Hong Kong Office where she advised a number of international banks on derivative transactions and ISDA documentation.
Ms. Gu holds a law degree from Peking University, an LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law, and a Master of Laws degree from Kyushu University in Japan. She has obtained the lawyer qualification certificate in China, is qualified in the State of New York, and is also admitted as a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong. Ms. Gu has been working for ISDA since 2008.

- the key to adoption for FX in asset tokenization (e.g. if the key is interoperability across networks, availability of public and private tokenized money on the same ledger or other challenges)
