Dipen Mehta is the Head of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) for SoftServe’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, driving innovation through digital acceleration for existing and future clients in the BFSI sector. With a 25-year background in technology and financial services, with demonstrable accomplishments in market creation and business growth, Dipen offers extensive expertise in empowering customers to leverage the power of cloud, AI, and digital solutions to transform business models, operations, and customer experiences.
Dipen joins SoftServe from Microsoft where he worked with the company’s financial services clients across the region to develop and deliver digital transformation initiatives across banking, insurance and capital markets.
Having spent over 15 years in Asia, holding various leadership roles in multinational enterprises, has showcased Dipen’s competency in navigating the paradigm shift in the banking and finance landscape – proliferating digital acceleration for the industry.
At Amazon Web Services (AWS), he led digital innovation across APAC and then globally, where he helped customers drive top line revenue growth using emerging technologies and trends. In that same role, he also led the APAC prototyping team in developing MVP offerings around these new products. He later transitioned to a role dedicated to assisting APAC customers in leveraging cloud technologies, specifically by implementing industry-specific solutions with AWS and its partners across BFSI, education, healthcare, and public sectors, and also led the go-to-market of these solutions.
At Standard Chartered Bank, he led the digital disruption team and co-founded their innovation lab. Prior to that, Dipen led the mobility practice at Accenture Digital where he focused on helping customers in the region embark on their digital transformation.
Over the course of his 25+ year career, Dipen has been an avid entrepreneur, advisor and investor in numerous startups across the US and Asia Pacific. He is also a STAR Advisory Board Member at Airbus, offering counsel on strategic direction and innovation roadmap for the aerospace industry.
