Merion is the Director and Head of the Capital Markets Policy Division at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) responsible for policy formulation that aims to enhance Singapore’s capital markets regulatory framework and provide fair, orderly and transparent markets that operate on efficient market infrastructure. Prior to her current role, she was an internal auditor at the MAS, and a regulatory supervisor responsible for licensing and supervision of capital markets intermediaries such as brokers/dealers, investment managers, trust companies and financial advisers. Merion was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2017. Before joining the MAS, Merion was with Citigroup responsible for money markets, deposits and FX operations in the consumer banking business.
