Susan has recently finished her role as Head of Innovation for the Reserve Bank of Australia. She established the Bank's Innovation Function, designed to introduce the Bank to emerging technologies through experimentation. Her most recent focus was establishing the framework to enable the Bank's adoption of AI, in particular Generative AI. This responsibility included AI experimentation, literacy, assurance and governance. Susan guided the Bank's collaboration with other Australia regulatory agencies in this space. She was also for a number of years the Co-Chair of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Innovation Hub's working group on Suptech and Regtech. She is also an active member of the ISO Technical Committee 307 on Blockchain and DLT Standards.
