Andrei is Advisor at the BIS Innovation Hub London Centre. He leads Project Hertha, testing how frontier technologies can help combat financial crime while preserving user privacy. He also leads work on payments innovation and artificial intelligence.

Prior to that, he spent several years at the Bank of England, leading development of policies and products to support technology innovation in high-value payments and securities settlement. He has also worked as an economist on financial stability, education and business financing at the Bank of England and UK Government.
