Senior Advisor, Digital Finance, United States Agency for International Development

Molly Dean is a Senior Advisor in the Innovation, Technology, and Research Hub at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and leads a blended finance program called Digital Invest. Digital Invest provides catalytic capital and technical assistance to financial intermediaries investing in digital finance and other technology companies across emerging markets. Launched in 2022, the portfolio has supported 9 partners to launch 13 funds currently raising over $1B in investment capital across Central, South, and Southeast Asia; Latin America; and sub-Saharan Africa.

Prior to her career at USAID, Mrs. Dean managed an investment advisory team operating across East and West Africa and co-founded a renewable energy company. She holds a B.A. in International Development and Economics from McGill University and a M.S. in Strategic Leadership for Sustainable Development from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden.
