Yan Wei is the Director and Group Head of Workforce Development at the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF). She oversees the Workforce & Talent Development, Talent Scheme Administration, Career Advisory and Communications & Engagement Divisions. She is also leading IBF’s data transformation initiative.

Prior to her current appointment, she was the Head of Workforce and Talent Development Division and has led the development and implementation of several industry initiatives, to advocate workforce transformation and talent pipeline building within the financial sector.

In the earlier part of her 17-year career with IBF, she led the Certification and Funding Division, managed the development of the IBF Portal, and implemented the Client Adviser Competency Standards (CACS) as well as the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework. She was also involved in programme accreditation and the review of the Skills Framework for Financial Services.
