Rudra Basu is the Global Head of Employee Banking Solutions at HSBC. He leads a team who provide tailored wealth and banking solutions to employees of HSBC’s Wholesale Clients aimed at improving the financial confidence and well-being of the employees. He is also currently spearheading an innovation initiative of a Digital Workplace Solution for HSBC’s Commercial Banking customer segment. HSBC Thrive Benefits viz. “benefits in a box” is being developed in partnership with a Fintech for Singapore, with a view to expand it Globally.

Rudra has 28+ years of Banking experience in leadership roles in Wealth & Personal Banking across HSBC’s India, Asia Pacific, and Global network. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in driving business transformation and innovation. In India, he successfully led the digital transformation of HSBC's Personal Banking portfolio, creating a digitally enabled, asset-focused scale Personal Banking business. He also played a key role in developing a niche Proposition-led Wealth offering for HSBC's target Premier segment, catering to Globally Minded Indians.
In his last role in Asia Pacific, he led sales, conduct & risk management initiatives for country distribution teams with a view to enable high standards of customer service and distribution risk controls across the region.

Rudra is a Statistician by education and is passionate about lifelong learning. He actively champions coaching, mentorship, and mental well-being initiatives at work, emphasizing the importance of continuous growth and well-being for individuals and teams.
