Terms and conditions

As a Hosted Banks & Merchants participant ("you") in Singapore FinTech Festival 2024 (the "Event" or “Singapore FinTech Festival”), scheduled to be held on 6-8 November, 2024 at Singapore EXPO (“Singapore Expo”), you agree to these terms and conditions with Constellar Exhibitions Pte Ltd ("Constellar"). If you are completing a registration on behalf of another individual, you warrant that you have made the Hosted Banks & Merchants participant aware of these Terms and Conditions and that he or she has accepted these terms and conditions.

1. Free Tickets & Travel Allowance: Subject to the fulfilment of the Reimbursement Conditions, Constellar will provide Qualifying Individuals from banks, retailers and merchants who participate in Hosted Meetings as part of Singapore FinTech Festival’s Meetings Programme (“Meetings Programme”) with a complimentary Singapore FinTech Festival “Hosted Banks & Merchants” ticket (“SFF Ticket”) and a travel/hotel reimbursement of up to $750 SGD in travel/hotel expenses incurred per person (“Reimbursement”) (the SFF Ticket and Reimbursement collectively referred to as the “Incentives”).

2. Qualifying Individuals: To qualify for the Incentives, individuals must:
a. be employed by
i. any entity which is approved, licensed, registered or otherwise regulated by a bank regulatory agency in a foreign jurisdiction to carry on banking business (as defined in the Banking Act 1970), or
ii. be employed by retailers and merchants (companies that are primarily in the direct-to-consumer business of online or physical retail of consumer goods and services, including traditional retailers, direct-to-consumer brands, online marketplaces, hotels and restaurants; and
b. be responsible for buying or evaluating payments, banking, lending, credit, personal finance, investing or other applicable technology and solutions for their organizations, (“Qualifying Individuals”).

3. Reimbursement Conditions: Qualifying Individuals must satisfy the following requirements in order to receive the Reimbursement: (a) take up and complete up to eight (8) 20-minute onsite meetings with participating sponsors (“Hosted Meetings”), which are based on a double opt-in process; and (b) comply with these Terms and Conditions.

4. Non-Hosted Meetings: Qualifying Individuals may also elect to participate in meetings that are not Hosted Meetings (“Non-Hosted Meetings”) with individuals (including those that are not from sponsors) participating in the Meetings Programme. Non-Hosted Meetings are also based on a double opt-in process so that they are useful to everyone.

5. Meeting Times: You commit to being available for at least 16 Meeting Time Slots as set forth below until you receive your final schedule immediately prior to the event. Your final set of up to eight (8) 20-minute Hosted Meetings may be spread across multiple Meeting Time Slots; they may not be back-to-back.

Constellar may, at its sole discretion, amend any of the above Meeting Time Slots.

6. Travel Arrangements: You are responsible for making your own travel and accommodation arrangements to attend Singapore FinTech Festival.

7. Meetings Program Participation: We will contact you prior to Singapore FinTech Festival to arrange your Hosted Meetings using our Singapore FinTech Festival platform. You agree to participate in this process, including (a) completing a profile with questions about your company and job role, (b) participating in a double opt-in process to select individuals from participating sponsors for potential meetings (and other individuals if you want to request Non-Hosted Meetings), and (c) accepting meetings and adding meetings to your calendar. Following Singapore FinTech Festival, you agree to provide post-event feedback on the Meetings Programme and each Hosted Meeting and to provide receipts for expenses. You agree to respond to all of our requests within our stated deadlines.

8. Completing Your Own Hosted Meetings: We do not entertain requests to combine Hosted Meetings with other individuals from your organization that might also be participating in the Meetings Programme. If more than one person from your organization is attending Singapore FinTech Festival as a Hosted Bank & Merchant, each person must complete their own set of up to eight (8) Hosted Meetings. If you are unable to attend your Hosted Meetings for any reason, you will not be eligible to receive the Reimbursement.

9. Failure to Complete Hosted Meetings: If you pick up your Singapore FinTech Festival Hosted Bank & Merchant badge onsite or otherwise attend Singapore FinTech Festival but do not complete your scheduled Hosted Meetings: (a) we will not be responsible for any costs associated with your travel or hotel and you will not receive any Incentives; (b) your credit card will be charged $1,350 SGD for your SFF Ticket, pursuant to paragraph 13 below; and (c) you (or your organisation) may also be barred from qualifying for Hosted Banks & Merchants tickets for one or more future years. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to prorate your Reimbursement based on the total Hosted Meetings for which you were scheduled and that you completed.

10. Cancellation & Substitutes: If you are approved for a Hosted Banks & Merchants ticket but become unable to participate even though you are still with your organisation, you agree to suggest one or more substitutes from your organisation as your replacement. Acceptance of any substitute is subject to our prior approval via email.

11. Notice of Employment Change: If you (a) are no longer employed by; or (b) become aware prior to Singapore FinTech Festival that you will no longer be employed at the time of Singapore FinTech Festival or after Singapore FinTech Festival by the bank, retailer or merchant based upon which you were approved for your Hosted Banks & Merchants ticket, you must let us know immediately upon your becoming aware so that we can cancel your participation in Hosted Meetings. In such cases, you will no longer be eligible to participate in Hosted Meetings or to receive any Incentives. Failure to notify us may result in you being barred from qualifying for Hosted Banks & Merchants tickets for one or more future years. At all times, including following Singapore FinTech Festival, we reserve the right to only communicate with you at your work email address regardless of any other email address you may have provided or we may have otherwise used.

12. Reimbursement Process: As the final step to receiving your Reimbursement, we require that you complete a short feedback form providing specific evaluations of each Hosted Meeting (we will also ask participating individuals from sponsors to provide feedback on their meetings with you). Please note that Singapore FinTech Festival will not reimburse for any mileage, points or rewards used for travel. The provision of the Reimbursement is conditioned upon completing all your scheduled meetings and submitting the feedback survey and travel/hotel receipts following the event within our stated deadlines.

13. Credit Card Details: You agree to provide your credit card information, and authorize us to process a $1 SGD charge (refundable deposit) on your credit card as part of your SFF Ticket registration. You also authorize us to charge the cost of your SFF Ticket at the rate of $1,350 SGD to your credit card if you do not complete your scheduled hosted meetings as described in section 8 above.

14. Taxes and Fees: You shall be responsible for the payment of any taxes and/or fees (including, without limitation, withholding taxes, service taxes, bank transfer fees, currency exchange fees, etc.) incurred in connection with Constellar’s provision of the Incentives to you (“Taxes and Fees”). You agree that Constellar may, in its sole discretion, deduct any applicable Taxes and Fees from the Incentives prior to issuing the reimbursement.

15. Force Majeure: In the event that Constellar is prevented from organising the Event and/or the Meetings Programme, due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Constellar (including, without limitation, fire, flood, widespread illness, epidemic or pandemic, power failure, communications line interruption, technical and computer-related faults and breakdowns, server outage, website vandalism, computer virus invasion or attack, hacker attack, temporary or permanent website closure or shutdown (caused by governmental control or otherwise), earthquake, explosion or accident, blockade, embargo, inclement weather, governmental order, decree, restraints or regulation, restraints or orders of civil defense or military authorities, war, riot or civil disturbance or commotion, sabotage, act of terrorism, strike, lockout, boycott or other significant labour dispute or disturbance, absence of venue required for the Event, and the abovementioned scenarios shall include any threat thereof), Constellar shall not be held liable for non-performance of or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

17. Qualification at Singapore FinTech Festival’s discretion: Qualification for Hosted Banks & Merchants tickets is determined solely by Singapore FinTech Festival and may be revoked at any time. By completing registration, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. The Courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions.
