About Singapore FinTech Festival FinTech Excellence Awards

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Singapore FinTech Association (SFA) invite nominations for the prestigious 2024 SFF FinTech Excellence Awards. Supported by PwC Singapore, these awards mark their ninth year, celebrating outstanding achievements in FinTech innovation.

This year, the Awards feature 6 distinct categories designed to spotlight groundbreaking initiatives that harness new technologies to revolutionise industry practices and enhance financial services delivery. Emphasising tangible outcomes, including a new thematic category, the Awards aim to recognise corporate entities and individuals who drive growth, foster financial inclusion, and pioneer transformative solutions.

Emerging FinTech Award​

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Incorporated within the past three years with a FinTech solution implemented/deployed in any part of the world.
  • The FinTech company’s core business must be related to the finance industry.
  • The FinTech company does not need to be a regulated entity in Singapore.

Financial Inclusivity Award

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The FinTech company must have implemented/deployed a solution with the objective of promoting financial inclusion and improving access to financial services (e.g. microinsurance, peer-to-peer lending).
  • The FinTech company’s core business must be related to the finance industry.
  • The FinTech company does not need to be a regulated entity in Singapore.

Regulatory Leader Award​

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The FinTech company must have implemented/deployed an innovative solution to support regulatory compliance and governance.
  • The FinTech company’s core business must be related to the finance industry.
  • The FinTech company does not need to be a regulated entity in Singapore.

Sustainable Innovator Award​

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • The FinTech company must have implemented/deployed an ESG solution adopted by corporates.
  • The FinTech company’s core business must be related to the finance industry.
  • The FinTech company does not need to be a regulated entity in Singapore.

Thematic – AI, Quantum Champion

 

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

  • Recognition of mentors in Singapore FinTech ecosystem.
  • The mentor can be nominated by an individual from the same company or from a different company.

  1. How do I register and submit my proposal?
    • You may register and submit your proposal here.

  2. Who can apply for the FinTech Excellence Awards?
    • All FinTech companies, Financial Institutions and Technology companies, whose initiatives have contributed significantly to the FinTech ecosystem, are welcomed to apply for the FinTech Excellence Awards.

  3. Do I need to specify which category I am applying for in the registration?
    • Yes, there is a mandatory question in the registration form to indicate which category you're applying for.

  4. Can there be more than 1 entity applying with the same solution?
    • Yes, the organisers recognise that some solutions are a product of cooperation within the community.  All organisations involved are welcome to apply.

  5. Can a company submit more than 1 application?
    • Each company can only submit 1 application. If they have more than 1 solution, they have to submit their best solution.

  6. What are the key dates for SFF FinTech Excellence Awards that I need to remember?
    • Registration commences on 8 July 2024 and participants can submit proposals up till 23 Aug 2024, 23:59.
    • Judging period will be in September 2024 for all award categories.
    • The winners will be announced on 7 November 2024. Finalists will be invited to the FinTech Award Ceremony where the winners will be announced.
