Vikas possesses over 26 years of entrepreneurial experience. Before starting Validus, he served as the Joint Managing Director of Urbana Bengal NRI (BNRI). There, he drove one of Eastern India’s most ambitious township projects – the building of the largest residential township which is spread over nine million sq ft to house over 2,000 families. Additionally, Vikas co-founded three different businesses in the financial services, telco and manufacturing sectors.

With Validus, Vikas serves as the Chairman of Validus Group and leverages on his experience to accelerate Southeast Asia’s digital financing revolution in SME lending. He was also a founding member of the Marketplace Lending Committee at Singapore FinTech Association.

Vikas graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with a Bachelor of Sciences in Strategic Management & Economics. During his time there, he was actively involved in the Wharton India Economic Forum Penn Club. Vikas has received several prestigious awards, including the Global Xaverian Business Leader Award, Top 10 Global Fintech Leader Award from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Entrepreneur of the Year by Round Table India.

Vikas in an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and also served on the Board of Directors for the Centre for Fathering - Dads for Life (CFF-DFL), a non-profit organisation founded in 2000 to promote active and involved fathering, and address issues of fatherlessness in Singapore.
