Masashi Watanabe is a Managing Director at the Corporate Planning Division in MUFG Bank, leading the Digital Asset / Web3 Business Development team based in Tokyo, Japan.
He has been involved in the bank’s business development for more than 25years, including Transaction Banking, IT & Payments and Digitalization area, working abroad in London and Bangkok.
Prior to his current role, he took part in developing a payment platform utilizing blockchain technology in Tokyo. He holds a BA in Economics from Waseda University, Tokyo.
