Mahendra is the Managing Director and Head of Fintech Partnerships & Data Analytics for Global Transaction Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB).
He has more than 23 years of experience in Transaction Banking, Strategy & Advisory services and Banking Technology Transformation. Prior to this he was leading the Corporate Banking & Innovation practice for APAC and the Trade & Supply Chain Finance practice globally for Accenture and was based in Singapore. He has worked with several global and regional banks (Bank of America, HSBC, and others) across diverse geographies: North America, the Nordics, Middle East, India, China, and the ASEAN countries. He has also worked with several leading Consulting and technology firms such as KPMG, IBM, Capgemini and Oracle.
He is a Fintech & DLT enthusiast, Ecosystem collaborator and works as a Mentor to several Fintech and tech incubators (R3, T-Hub, Tenity). He has participated, co-conceptualized and co-led several industry-body & regulator-led and privately-led innovative and key initiatives e.g., Project Ubin (CBDC initiative jointly run by MAS Singapore, Bank of Canada, and Bank of England), Trade platform and marketplace: NTP (Singapore Customs), Cross-border Trade platform: Trusple (Ant Financial), TradeTrust (BoFA /HSBC / IBM / IMDA) amongst others.
