Amit is the Founder and CEO of Zamp - a B2B fintech startup that is backed by Sequoia Capital, and several prominent angel investors such as the CEOs of Uber and Doordash.

Prior to founding Zamp, Amit was a Managing Director at Sequoia Capital in Singapore – where he led investments in Fintech companies across India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Before Sequoia, Amit was Head of Asia Pacific at Uber. He led Uber's growth in India and several countries in Asia Pacific such as Australia, Japan, S.Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The region was one of the fastest growing regions for the company. Amit led that growth from its early stage to an exponential growth over four years.

Prior to Uber, Amit was in the US for ~17 years - across several roles - including: President at Rent.com in Los Angeles, Senior Advisor at TPG Capital and Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco.

Amit has an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
