Mr. Masashige Nakazono is a Managing Director, Head of Global Commercial Banking Planning Division in MUFG Bank. His responsibilities run across promoting collaborations among MUFG and MUFG’s invested financial institutions, and pursuing in-organic strategies for MUFG. Prior to the current position, Mr. Nakazono has experienced financial product development for two years, investment banking in New York for six years, and strategic investments and strategic planning of the Southeast Asia region for nearly ten years.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Nakazono has experienced various M&A / investment deals including the following projects: strategic investments in Bank of Ayudhya in Thailand, Bank Danamon in Indonesia, Security Bank in the Philippines, Home Credit in Indonesia and the Philippines, Akulaku in Indonesia, as well as DMI Finance in India. During his 25 years of career with MUFG Bank, Mr. Nakazono has developed strong M&A and business strategy expertise and relationships with the management of institutions in which MUFG has invested.
