Davis Zhu currently serves as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific at PingCAP Pte. Ltd., the company behind TiDB. Before that, he established a SaaS business and co-founded another data intelligence company. While at Intel China Region as Managing Director, he spearheaded game-changing strategies, resulting in unprecedented annual revenues surpassing 3.3 billion US dollars. Davis expanded his expertise by living and working in the USA, driving global Big Data strategies, and exploring diverse industries as Vice President of Sales for Disney. He holds a Master's in Computer-Aided Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an Executive MBA from the China Europe International Business School. In his free time, he indulges in reading, hiking, and embarking on expeditions to distant corners of the world, including Antarctica and Africa.
