Panagiotis Simatis leads the data science team at ParallelChain Lab, where he designs and implements various machine learning models, such as face anti-spoofing. As a database researcher, he has published papers on topics such as multi-dimensional indexing and layer-1/layer-2 solutions. Before joining ParallelChain Lab, he was a researcher at Crypto.com and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST).

Panagiotis holds an MPhil in Computer Science and Engineering from HKUST and a Master's in Computer Engineering from the University of Ioannina.
