Laura is a Director at Temasek and is part of the team responsible for blockchain team investments and venture building, with a focus on accelerating and scaling blockchain technologies to create robust ecosystems, innovative products and impactful solutions.
She is a Founding Team Member and a Board Observer of Partior, a joint venture with JP Morgan, DBS and Standard Chartered Bank to setup new financial market infrastructure to enhance cross-border clearing and settlements.
Laura also contributes actively to the public domain. She sits on the Advisory Committee of Elevandi, an independent legal entity, founded by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, to foster an active and open dialogue between the public and private sectors, to advance FinTech further in the global digital economy.
Laura joined Temasek in 2007, prior to her current role she has also held roles in the Consumer, Industrials, Transportation and Logistics groups looking at both investments and working closely with their Boards and management teams on strategy and value creation initiatives, ensuring sustainable and profitable long-term growth for the organizations she's working with.
Prior to joining Temasek, Laura was in General Electric and Ernst & Young in various roles, spanning several geographies including US, UK, China, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia
She is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants and holds a BA(hons) in Accounting and Finance from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.

MAS launched Project Orchid in 2021 to explore the technical feasibility and infrastructure required for a digital Singapore Dollar. The project started by examining potential use cases for digital money and the infrastructure that would be required to support it.
This session showcases multiple industry-led digital money pilots and the use of purpose-bound money, such as programmable rewards, escrow arrangement, government grant disbursement. The session will also cover the singleness of money and embedded policy compliance in digital money.
