Mrs Ong-Ang Ai Boon is the Director of The Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS). She was appointed in 1982 and has since led the ABS with her extensive regulatory and operational experience in the banking industry.
Mrs Ong started her career in banking in 1969. Prior to her position at ABS, Mrs Ong was with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) from 1971 till 1981 where she held several key positions during her tenure.
The Association represents the interests of the banking industry (both local and foreign banks: 153 (as at to-date) and among other functions, work to establish a sound banking structure in Singapore in collaboration and consultation with MAS and other government bodies.
