Shameek is Executive Director at AI Verify, a full-owned subsidiary of the Singapore Government's Infocomm Media Development Authority. In this role, he is focused on building a robust ecosystem of open-source AI testing tools and AI assurance providers.
Before this, Shameek led business development and strategy for California AI testing and monitoring startup TruEra (now acquired by Snowflake). Until 2020, Shameek was Group Chief Data Officer at Standard Chartered Bank.
Outside his day job, Shameek is closely involved in regulatory initiatives around AI governance. He serves on the Singapore government's AI and Data ethics advisory council, co-chairs the data governance working group at the Global Partnership on AI and was one of the authors of the MAS' FEAT guidelines on Responsible AI.
