Filianingsih Hendarta was born in Surabaya in 1963. She completed her undergraduate education in Law at Airlangga University in 1985 and earned a Master’s degree in Economics & Finance from Boston University, USA, in 1992.

Fili began her career at Bank Indonesia in 1986. Throughout her tenure, she has held several key positions, including Head of the Payment System Policy Department (2019-2022), Head of the Macroprudential Policy Department (2015-2019), and Head of the Monetary Management Department (2013-2015).

During her career at Bank Indonesia, Fili has represented Indonesia as a delegate at various international forums, including the G20, BIS, FSB, IMF, World Bank, and EMEAP.

Filianingsih Hendarta was officially appointed as Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia based on Presidential Decree No. 21/P of 2023, dated March 15, 2023, for the term 2023-2028. She took the oath of office on April 18, 2023.
