Dowson joined Tencent in 2005 and is currently the Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industries Group (CSIG). He also oversees Tencent's Technical Committee and Advertising and Marketing Services. Previously, he led Tencent's Social Network Group, driving strategies for QQ and value-added services.
Since 2018, Dowson has spearheaded CSIG’s efforts to drive digital transformation across 30 industries, including healthcare, finance, and retail. He has earned numerous accolades, such as "2022 Tech Leader in the Greater Bay Area" and "Top 50 Best Professional Managers of 2020." Dowson holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Stanford University.
