A key leader in modernising DBS’s payment systems, Li Khim has spearheaded numerous initiatives that have not only elevated the bank’s digital capabilities but also significantly contributed to its revenue growth. Her leadership in developing cutting-edge payment solutions has transformed both consumer and corporate banking at DBS, notably on:
• Payment Rail Optimiser that enables cost cost-effective cross-border processing for Non-Financial Institutions (NFI) and Money Service Organisations (MSO).
• PayNow-UPI, a landmark solution for facilitating seamless payments across Singapore-India.
• AMH and FAST Technical restack, which includes driving the migration to cloud for system scalability and cost efficiencies.
• Electronic deferred payment (EDP), Lead the industry to develop Electronic Deferred Payment (EDP), a digital payment alternative to facilitate the sunsetting of physical cheques.
Li Khim is also a strong advocate for gender diversity, especially in the technology sector. Her efforts in tech recruitment, mentorship, and engagement has doubled the percentage of women in technology roles in her department from 24% to 48% in 2024. Her inclusive leadership fosters a culture of equal opportunity and empowerment, making her a driving force for diversity in the workplace.
