Minister of Sustainable Development, Chief Executive Bahrain Economic Development Board, Bahrain Economic Development Board
H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Bahrain's Minister of Sustainable Development, was appointed as Chief Executive of Bahrain Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB) in February 2024. Prior to her ministerial appointment in 2022, she served as the Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, having first joined the Ministry as Director of the Information and Economic Indicators Directorate in 2019.
H.E. the Minister currently serves on the boards of the Supreme Council for Women, Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Mumtalakat (Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund), and the Higher Education Council, among others.
H.E. Alkhulaif holds a master’s degree in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
