James is part of the Digital Currencies team at the Reserve Bank of Australia and worked as a software developer on Australia's CBDC Pilot in 2023. Most recently, he has advised on IT architecture for the Project Mandala team, working to leverage emerging technologies to improve the efficiency and privacy of cross-border payments compliance. James has experience in innovation and cyber security; and holds a BSc majoring in Information Technology from UTS.
