Norasyikin joined Bank Negara Malaysia in 2011 and is currently a Deputy Director in Payment Services Policy Department. Her current role involves leading the regulatory and developmental work on large value payment system, cross-border payments and emerging payments. This among others include driving the work for RENTAS modernisation, cross-border payment linkages, central bank digital currency (CBDC) and digital assets through the Digital Currency Research Hub.
She also has more than 7 years’ experience as a banking supervisor for diverse financial institutions in Malaysia, including Islamic banks, and development financial institutions.
Norasyikin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University, USA and holds a Certificate of Islamic Finance from INCEIF.
