Director of International Government and External Affairs, Robinhood
Chloe Barz is the Director of International Government and External Affairs at Robinhood Markets covering Europe, Asia, and multilateral organizations. Prior to joining Robinhood, Barz spent a decade navigating the top levels of the federal government. During her time at the Department of State, Barz served as Chief of Staff for the Bureau of Legislative Affairs. In this role, she helped lead a team of 60 professionals in creating and executing the Department's legislative strategy on behalf of the Secretary. While serving in the U.S. Senate under the Majority Leader, Barz worked on the Senate floor as a Cloakroom Assistant. Here, she acted as a liaison between Republican and Democratic leadership to negotiate agreements on pending floor matters. She was also responsible for providing senators and their senior staff with parliamentary advice and counsel on floor strategy.
Barz received her bachelor’s degree from George Washington University. She has lived and studied in Indonesia and Turkey.
