Masami joined the FSB as Member of Secretariat in August 2024. Prior to that, she spent over 15 years at the Bank of Japan, most recently as Director, Deputy Head of the International Division in the Financial System and Bank Examination Department. Her career at the BOJ had a strong focus on prudential policy and payment and settlement systems policy. In this context, she has represented the BOJ on various working groups at the BCBS, CPMI and FSB and was responsible for relationship management with Japanese SIBs.
Masami graduated from Keio University in 2008 (LL.B) and Europa Institut of the University of Saarland in 2012 (LL.M).
