Syahida Othman began her broadcast journalism career at CNA in 2014, taking on roles as reporter, presenter, producer, and line producer. She currently presents Singapore Tonight, CNA's flagship primetime bulletin delivering live news. Syahida has covered significant events, including the assassination of Shinzo Abe, Singapore’s elections from 2015 to 2023, Malaysia’s elections in 2018 and 2022, and Indonesia’s 2018 earthquake. She led on-the-ground coverage of the 2018 ASEAN summit and the 2022 Philanthropy Asia Summit, where she interviewed Indonesia's Health Minister. Syahida has also interviewed prominent figures like Tony Blair, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Najib Razak, Ian Bremmer, and Kishore Mahbubani, showcasing her expertise in politics and policy discussions.
