Arup Chatterjee is Principal Financial Sector Specialist with the Finance Sector Office at the Asian Development Bank Headquarters. As a practice lead, he leads financial sector development initiatives by providing operational support for mainstreaming climate action into financial sector policies and regulations and scaling up climate finance through reforming and developing capital markets, contractual savings, and insurance sectors.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Delhi University, Arup has earlier served with the International Association of Insurance Supervisors at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, and the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
He is an active blogger who regularly contributes to financial newspapers and journals on contemporary financial institutions and market issues.
