As the head of the Payments Policy and Development Department of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), she leads the formulation of policies to ensure that payment systems in the Philippines are operating in a safe, efficient, reliable and inclusive manner. Building on the gains of the National Retail Payment System (NRPS) project that she was an instrumental member of, she now spearheads payments digitalization initiatives together with the Philippine payments industry to broaden the awareness and responsible use of digital payments in the country. She also leads the data monitoring and analytics group that tracks the progress of these initiatives through key payments indicators. She is also tasked to oversee the exploration of CBDC and potential use cases in the Philippine setting. Likewise, she also represents the BSP in cross-border payments initiatives, such as the Project Nexus, as well as in various domestic, regional and global working committees tackling payments-related developments and concerns.
